Hopefully it's a software issue that I can resolve somehow. I don't live close to a store and don't have a car. What are my options? My fear is that it's a hardware issue and that I need to contact Apple and return the computer (after spending two weeks setting everything up). And a Recovery Boot, where I ran Disk Utility's First Aid 3 time, getting an OK. So I was forced to restart (with power button) and I was able to run an Etrecheck report on startup (see below). But then Etrecheck got stuck in a loop as well and never finished the report. And I downloaded Etrecheck and ran it the next time I started FCPX and got a beachball. So I hunted about the application store and searched for the Logi Options Daemon but the search could not locate it. Logitech say the "Logi Options Daemon" must be selected and the boxes checked for System Events & Finder - but the logi Options Daemon is not installed in the "Automation" list.Īfter calling Logitech support, I was told there are known issues with the latest versions of Mac OS and they were working on fixing these before releasing an update. Interestingly, after installing the latest version (9.40.75) all of the settings are configured with the exception of "Automation". Logitech themselves have articles about how to install and configure Logitech options and the specific security/privacy settings (System Preferences - Security & Privacy) required. ![]() Mouse works fine but I cannot customise or reap the full functionality of the MX Mouse productivity without configuring the Logitech Options software, which does not detect the mouse installed over Bluetooth. I have a Logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse and using Bluetooth to connect. So there is a whole lot of questions and answers regarding Logitech mouse software not working on latest versions of Mac OS. ![]()
